Thinking of an activity to do with your dog? Try flyball…

Flyball is a team sport for all breeds of dogs that enjoy fetching a ball and have good recall. One of our receptionists, Tracey Asquith, competes in a local flyball team with her border collies Aero and Wispa.
The Onley Outlaws Flyball team meet once a week for training. Events involve competing against other teams within the UK. This sport is extremely sociable for dogs and people alike.
Flyball is made up of 4 jumps in a straight line with a box at the end. The goal is the the dogs to clear all four jumps, push on the box at the end which shoots out a ball, they then catch it, quick turn round, and jump back over the obstacles back to their owner. The aim is to beat the opposing team’s time.
At the end of an event a presentation takes place where certificate, rosettes and keyrings are awarded.
It is great exercise for the dogs, for body and mind!
